I have a mix and match set of scrap iron. Never paid more than a fiver for a set at local car shops many years ago and never broke a spanner. I have several half sets of sockets and a couple of odd handlemibobs for em.
I prefer a cruise to snap on.

I have an interesting new tool, hopefully it works!

Haha not what I was expecting ya messy git,

If you're buying bigger sockets, consider going up to 3/4" drive. I made that decision when I twisted three 4" extensions (1/2" drive) to breaking point on eurobox 32mm hub nuts. There's little point in having the sockets if you can't deal with the torque that those nut/bolt sizes can need.

I made my own, to fit all flanges, like to give the flanges a good going over.

I've got an eclectic mix of spanners - from the usual suspects

I've also got some Aldi stuff, which is cheap and cheerful, and frankly, brilliant value for normal everyday stuff ... and no great financial loos if you break one

The only caveat I'd suggest with cheaper spanners is to avoid the plated ones - the plating comes orft, and sticks in your fingers - ask me how I know

If you want a recommend for spanners, I'd suggest Stahwille - they are so good i reckon my great grand kids will be using them

I've got a number of older spanners I picked up as a job lot off Ebay which are handy because it doesn't matter if I break them and they can be filed out to fit particular nuts, as several of them have. For everyday use I have quite a few Teng items including a 1/2" and a 1/4" socket set and a set of stubby spanners. There's a Draper brand 1/2" impact socket set and a Neilsen 3/4" socket set. Teng tools seem reasonably tough, and are a good compromise between cheap soft spanners and something like Snap On which I can't afford. There's a deep impact socket set and a set of ratchet ring spanners whose brand I can't remember, and a load of offset ring spanners. And that's most of what keeps the Land Rover going. I've not bought Halfords spanners because I was disappointed with them back in the 1980s - sockets whose internal points came off, spanners whose jaws spread, ratchet wrenches where the square bit snapped off and so on. They must have improved a good deal in recent years because so many people on here like them.

This is for the crank pulley, there’s so many hoses and things I don’t fancy the starter trick!

Guilty as charged

I do have a decent set of fan spanners so I could have done that, I work at a desk and am a bit of a weakling though so I’ll take all the help I can get!
