Hi all,

Just having a browse on the Bay and saw this, R8 KGM:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/264277288234?ul_noapp=true

Seems to have been off the road for 4 years from the break in MoT history. And again in 2012. Seems to suffer from headlamp alignment too - possible accident damage? Can anyone tell if cat C/D?

Ideally I'd take a look but running out of time. Thoughts? Anyone know the seller?

According to Carzana it's been for sale in 2k16 and it looked the exact same..

Mileage is low for the age, however who piles miles onto a v8 that does 16mpg ;)

It likes it's Mirrors ;)

I'd say it looks ok

The Gap in the MOT's could of been, she was laid up for whatever reason and after a set time was sold, that happened with a "friend" he passed on and left his Rover 827 sat for 5 years before his wife sold it on, with a fresh MOT of course.

Accident damage would be easy to spot, from the underside, the front chassic legs, crossmember and rear would give an indication of a bump

A HPI check is a few Quid and would give any bump history..

Oh and it has the Proper RR engine in it ;)

No response. Could be busy or avoiding inspection.

Seems to sell over 6 cars a year so presumably registered as a trader. Therefore has duty to HPI and engine and gearbox covered for 6 months?

'Tis possible with the warranty, Maybe he is just pre-occupied at the moment to answer your queries.

The Guy that sold mine was not one for computerised conversation.. ;)

'Twas a bit sheepish too..

Anyway! i digress.

Give him some time and maybe he'll get back to you..
Have you given him a ring?

Couldn't see a number?

Too late now. Working in London tomorrow so up early and back late... And probably back very ****ed if after work drinks go the usual way.

Being completely ****ed is how i ususally buy cars!

That how i end up with such great examples "cough" ahem ;)

Its possible it'll be up for a while, mine was on ebay for 2 months before i snapped it up ;)

Yes, don't know if it has a reserve. Seemed to start at 99p.

Well, if it doesn't go maybe he'll respond. On the other hand, colour isn't my first choice. Ideally I'd have another rioja red one!

Ideally I'd have a drive and get the Nanocom on it. And a good crawl over it in the light.
Nano and a good drive..

Bury the pedal a few times ;)

Oh and test the brakes, my Left rear pads flew out on the way home from the seller and the NSR were down to the metal on one side, try driving a P38 with only the front brake and 1/2 of a rear caliper.
so 1 1/2 brakes, damn car. ;)

apparently people don't like 20mph crawl down hills with an odd burning smell ;)

Colour is eh ;)

Not my first choice either, but it would grow on ya!!

It doesn't look too bad, the colour isn't you, there are lots of red ones about on EBay depends what you want it for?
Interior is nice but headlining is worse the mine - TBexpected.

I think they will want too much for it. Contact after auction with cash offer (cheap) is my opinion as they say it has to go you may get it for bargain, if not then there are plenty more about. Bargain or nothing is my tactic - only way to enjoy these vehicles.

I do like the look of it. Very you but,

not as nice an example as yours (would you ask £3G for yours?) bit of a Frankenstein if you ask me, I would not buy that particular one without assessing damage myself in person first. Unless I could have it cheap then it’s worth the risk

I notice you are looking at a lot of V8s lately....
is there something you want to tell us? o_O:rolleyes:;)
