I have the original Fuel Tank from my 1987 110 which I am rebuilding. Not sure weather to give it a good clean and paint or even if its in working order, or go for new one. Think this is the right one for mine https://www.paddockspares.com/wfe000190-fuel-tank-110-130-range-rover-classic.html
But not sure which Fuel Pump for it here https://www.paddockspares.com/parts-and-accessories/land-rover-defender/fuel/fuel-pumps.html Anyone know which one?? knowing my luck it will be one of the Dearest ones, if that's the case might as well stick to refurbing my old one.

I refurbed mine as it merely had surface rust. Rubbed it down and treated it to a good coat of wax oil. Just be aware of the condition of the 3 tangs that hold in the in tank fuel sender, if they are badly worn they won't hold the sender properly. Test fit before refitting. Getting the tank back in is a real PITA.

That's what I'm worried about with it been so old, it will definitely clean up nice but its weather the sender and pump will work in it.

Our tanks don’t have a pump in them. The fuel is drawn from the tank by the lift pump on the engine. It’s a sender unit and pickup pipe.

I have this type spare. Check to see if it’s any good for you.

That’s. Relief thought it was gonna Cost me another couple hundred quid, will check that one if it fits mine will buy it off you if it’s spare.
New tanks are not great quality, refurb the one you have, get it galvanised.
Think your right.mate will probably refurb mine and put new sender in, to late for galv but will clean it up and prime and paint

If it works for you and is what you want, call it £10 and I will try and get it up to you this weekend. If I don’t forget the breather parts too, I can do it all in one go.

Here's the tank I'm going to refurb, should clean up nice. Think its safe to say I will need new sender by the look of this one. Not sure what the pipe is called in second photo as cant see any advertised anywhere but it looks OK, will need new screws to fit it back on. Well I didn't know that Tanks are like that inside with different compartments, just thought it was one big space :)
Now what fuel lines will I need ? do you just buy some and cut to length as cant see any specific ones for Defenders, also which Fittings ??
Thanks Everyone for help so far.

Great pictures, my sender has never read correctly since I refurbed it and fitted a new sender. I suspect from your pictures my float is being fouled by the return pipe.
Should have took photos of the way it came out, so I could replace new one the exact way. Cant remember which way it goes now

Complete PITA on yer own. The filler fouls, the sender fouls and you have the return pipe attached anorl. A good sized trolled jack will help, but I struggled. Buy a new fitting kit before you start back, all mine sheared off during removal. If I could get the sender working properly I'd be happy now with the better quality OEM tank as they're solid.

Which Tank would you have bought if you had replaced yours?, I was looking at this one, https://www.paddockspares.com/wfe000190-fuel-tank-110-130-range-rover-classic.html
Don't suppose you took any photos of when you did it ??
