Yep both at billing. The muddy photo made it into Lro mag.
Marshal told the driver 2nd gear & floor it. So she did :)
Next lap he said this time not so fast. Poor bloke was splattered in mud

I bought it in 1998 with 25,000 miles, it has only just over 48,000 miles. The speedo broke last year so changed it. probably one of the lowest mileage around. I am fortunate that it has no rust anywhere on it. It has a new bonnet as the AA leaned on it one day. Mind you it is a bit like Triggers broom.

Yes, Portofino, very elegant.
Wish now I hadn't lost her. Serious rot despite the good looks, steering box and pump knackered and a tired engine, and no money to sort it. Sold for 500 in late 2010. The MoT expired 30/3/11 and there's no road tax record so I guess she's gone :( Lovely for the two years I owned her.

Such a shame, 'tis why i'm keeping my P38 i know if I let her go i'd regret it even though she needs a ground up!!.. :)

They suited Red best IMO.

Daft thing is, as beautiful and comfortable as she was to drive, I never felt as 'at home' in her as I do in a Landy

I can sort of understand that ;)

You're more the Landy type I'd love a nice series II 109 with the 2.6 IOE :)

Hmm..

She's a converted 2.5P LT77 (blatant plug: https://www.chichester4x4.co.uk) with a 92 Disco1 3.5 hotwire efi and an 89 RRC ZF4HP22.
She drives better than my previous factory 90 3.5 carb to efi, and factory 110 3.9 efi transplant (both LT85s).
Knocking wood and making blood sacrifices to the JLR gremlins...

Ahh she'll be alright!! :D

All Simple pimple compared to Range Rovers ;);)

Haha, cheers hope you're right ;)
The above mentioned 90 V8 (D reg) was such a b*t*h we named her Christine. She had a habit of playing up, fine with me generally but when MrsC was in her she got temperamental, and definitely if MrsC drove her! Did a top end rebuild, swapped the Strombergs for hotwire efi and she went like stink.......... when in a good mood! :D
