Circlip or spring clip or snap ring RESOLVED

Morning everybody
I have a problem removing a circlip or spring clip (See photos) There are no little eyes to get any pliers on and I am stumped to work out how to get the bearing out

with reference to the top photo: iirc I used a flat tipped screwdriver to prize the left hand end out of its groove - eventually as you work your way around you can lift the circle out completely. You may need to use a second screwdriver to prevent the circle from moving around its locating groove.

Special cerclip pliers are needed, they make internal, external ones.
Screwdriver is a bodge job !

I tackled one like this last week - changing the rear wheel bearing on my niece’s FL!

Try to use a small punch to tap the ring around to ensure its not seized.

One screwdriver to lift one end, the other to get under it and free it all the way around. Watch it doesn’t ping off at you.

I use one of these to tease it out

then use a small flat blade to run round till it pops out

Wrong! internal and external circlip pliers are both for circlips with eyes, using a small screwdriver to remove these snaprings / blind circlips is a correct recognised method and far from a "bodge job" which is a stupid comment!

It was the only one out of all the others I have that would stay in place Its the bigist and bestist clamp I have at 10" and it cost the least @£5 off fleabay and I think that included the postage

Ok keep your syrup on, I should have said there's a correct tool for every job, I'm sure proper mechanics don't risk damaging bearings etc by sticking screwdrivers in when you should use proper tooling.

Well little one, when @Interceptorxj said the magic words which i had never heard of before "Snap Ring" I looked it up and found a couple of uTube vids that show what yall was talking about. What I found out was that there is such a thang as "External snap ring pliers" but anit nobody has invented the "Internal snap ring pliers". So the screw driver method is your only option (yes I have been drinking). So don’t feel too bad about it as every day is a learning day....Simples
