P38A Viscous fan capacity?

Just wondering on the 1999 2.5 oil burner auto.
Would anybody know what the CFM is on the original fan, my electric fan just manages to support the engine rad and I need a bigger unit to cover the oil cooler as well. I dont fancy boiling it in may on the off road courses. There are two I've found, both 16", one with around 1700cfm and another with 2600cfm. Any ideas please 80w and 120w respectively.

Try a BMW 320/520 D 's 400W or MERCEDES 600W one.
I'm trying the BMW one but little scared whether the alternator (VALEO 105A) can handle it.
Remember, there are pushers & pullers, depending on the location- prior to /after radiator

I did look at the Volvo XC90 fan, massive unit but digital controlled..
Good point about the alternator output Kapil.
The fans I've seen are only 2.5" deep and will go nicely behind the rad and just in front of the water pump pulley.

2100cfm for a D1 V8 viscous 11 blade cooling fan. And there's some air movement when that's spinning on full chat, i.e. . In traffic with ac on and its a hot summer day

Have a brand new boxed never fitted 17" electric fan kit for the P38. To be honest don't even know where it is will have to have a look. Also have boxed brand new genuine Land rover viscous fan.

Stoneyracing do a 220watt 16" fan in either push or pull configuration. It pulls 15-18ish amps when running, which a healthy 100amp alternator should just manage without draining the battery while idling.

If you pinch a 400watt one from a 320d (1999 onward), as kapilamuni suggested - many of the touring ones had big 200-240a leisure alternators from the factory - food for thought (and alternators for swapping!)

Saw this from demon tweaks,
I asked about it being used as a puller, they said that mishimoto didn't specify that info. I found out myself that it can be used as a puller or pusher. I would have thought selling items to people would require a certain amount of product research. Anyhow, I'm going for this one I think.

Mark, it's straight bladed. It's noisy just like the standard VC fan. Go for a curved bladed one .
Generally, higher the wattage higher the CFM.

the rover P6 was meant to have a jet engine and the coil spring suspension on the classic RR was influenced by the very same car

the Clio fan I have is also a straight blade type but It doesn't bother me very much. I at least know it's running
