Freelander 1 Speaker upgrades?

Morning all, I'm thinking on stereo upgrades for my hippo, its already got a kenwood CD/USB/Radio thing I put in a few years ago, and I'm considering turning my attention to the speakers now... So I'm toying with Vibe coaxials all round and a pair of under seat active subs, OR grabbing good used Harmon Kardon speakers off fleebay? Whats your thoughts? What have you done and what do you recommend? Has anyone had any hoy getting the steering wheel buttons working with an after market stereo?

I've got JVC coaxial speakers in the doors to complement the additional sound deadening

and an 8" sub in the rear boot cubby.

I have a alpine dab radio single din and I have the steering wheel controls to work you need a Steering Wheel control adaptor

I had 2 original speakers fail. So I bought 2 pairs of the JVC coaxials as replacements. They sound different to the original paper cone speakers. The sound is brighter in the mid and high ranges but not so deep in the low frequencies. The sub takes care of those, so it's not a problem.

Nodge your a person who knows a thing or two about speakers do you think this will fit in to the cubby hole in the boot and still be able to keep the tool box in situ or would I need a 6"

That's complete garbage. I've run the numbers using the parameters. In a closed box of 25 litres (approximate cubby capacity), it's not getting below 100Hz at a useable sound pressue output.
A ported enclosure needs a volume of over 500 litres for it to achieve a sub frequency range.
So don't waste your money.
