glow plugs

I seriously doubt they are longer as if that was the case they would invade the combustion chamber and the piston wouild collide with them. I reacon your thermostat housing is not like the ones fitted to our hippo's. Any chance you can take a photo of the problem area and post it on the thread? Picture says a thousand words as it were.

It seems to me that the only way forward is to release the thermostat housing from the cylinder head. This will allow the pipe to drop out the way and you can get the plug out. The downside is you will have to drain the coolant first.

looks the same, undo it , and wriggle it about towards the passenger side, and it will come out!

yes tried that but no joy its to tight the thread hits right where the bulge is

my only advice would be, either take the pipe off then, or take it to a garage, i cant see where else this thread can go, i assure you it WILL come out, but you insist it wont! i dont see what other advice can be given to you????????

have you got a new glow plug, if so check if the length from the end to the sholder of the plug, if the new one is shorter then just cut the threads off the old one and remove it.

Take the pipe off - you may have a thick pipe, unusual for them not to pass, but they are snug ...

Wouldn't want to take the engine out, it won't get past the bar that holds the bonnet up!

Obviously the glow plugs do come out, just need to remove the hose first

4th glow plug is more intresting, im trying to find info about taking off electrical part from hipresuure fuel pump.
