glow plugs

hi just trying to change glow plugs on a l serries which is the plug you cant get out managed to get the 2 middle ones out but other 2 look like they cant come out i no no 1 plug is meant to be hard but which one is that left or right a syou look in the engine many thanks ok sorry found which is no1 plug so how do you get the no4 plug out

no1 comes out, although a ,little fiddly due to the water pipe, no4 i.e right hand side needs pump off i think:doh:

i thought no 1 was on the right hand side. but whats the best tool to use to get the one out that is behind the water pipe

no1 is left hand side, as you look at it, i.e drivers side, i managed with a 10mm 1/4" drive socket, JUST

yea but how did u get it on the plug with the pipe in the way

yes please lololol yea but i cant get a deep reach 10mm on there coz pipe in the way

you dont need a deep reach one, just dont insert the extension fully in

right ok undone it the way you said just one more thing please how do i get the plug out passed the hose plug seems to long to come out

dont see how the one i am trying to get out am i right in saying its no4 plug

wel is no1not the one you have to remove the injection pump to get out out

lolol thanks i am woorried as i pull it the threaded ennd will go through the rubber hose

help no matter what i do i can not get this plug passed the hose the theaded end just keeps on cutting into the hose

remove the fooking hose then FFS. It int rocket science is it???
