Hi all, got a 1991 3.9 classic project. It's quite tidy but not been running for2 years. Turns over and got a spark but no fuel coming through. Put a tester on the wires just above the pump and got a reading of 3.8v off the one with a purple stripe on. No noise from the pump so was wondering if it's no power getting to it or if it has seized. Any ideas welcomed

Check the earth, it should be getting 12v. test voltage ignition on and when cranking. It should prime for 2 seconds when ignition is turned on.

fuel pump is supplied from a relay under drivers seat you can tell as it has a white and purple wire ,the other relay with brown wires supplies the power to it and ecu when you switch ignition on both relays should click then fuel pump relay click off 4 seconds later ,it comes back on when you crank engine

Cheers for the info, I will have a go at that and see what happens.
Thanks

Relays work and I get 12 volts at the pump for 1 or 2 seconds. Still no noise from the pump. Is the pump serviceable or do I need to get another one.
Thanks

It should prime with 12v for a couple of seconds and stop. Then 12v to run it when you engage starter. Have you tried using a farmer's socket set?
