I hav'e a bit of a 'clunk' going on. It might be cos the engines not 'stuck down' proper or has come a bit 'un-stuck'. So's gonna have a look at it. Adz also said it cud be sum other things like prop shaft I think.. I can't remember now! Doh!

There's a bit of play in the rear UJ on the rear prop - but nothing that is likely to cause the sort of thump you get as it takes up the drive.

You can really feel it through the whole car, doesn't 'feel' like the transmission is slack, much more like the engine mounts aren't secure. No more nails int going to fix that one If you've ever driven an Issisgonis Mini (not that BMW piece of crap) with the top engine stabiliser bar detached you'll know what I mean

Couldn't find any play in the front prop UJ's, but they seem to have chucked a fair bit of grease about so they might be gone - we didnt have it off the ground to give them a really proper check.

Good day though - and we'd have spent a lot less time on it if we'd (alright, I'd) read the manual properly in the first place. Still, at least we know yer dash is wel attached HG
