You lot are doubting Toms. You should have faith in this honest trader. It may be true.

If the VCU was shafted and the front wheels were fighting with the back wheels, he may have only been getting 20MPG before ;)

Or, in place of the Props, he's installed a 2nd tank !

Failing that, the guy's a lieing toe rag.
 
I only get 26mpg, n my car is standard! Although I suspect it has a problem somewhere lol, could be the driver

He is talking complete BS!! I run my V6 in 2WD for 6 months of the year and I monitor my fuel consumption down to 2 decimal places. Running my V6 in 2WD does make it more economical by a massive 0.15 MPG!!
 
It makes sence to me take the prop off so down to 2wd in the ice and snow and by the time you get to the top of the hill you normally fly up you've clocked an extra 200 miles how clever is that!!!!!
 
If I remove the front prop and one of the rear half shafts how much do you think my MPG will improve on the 4.6 P38?
