Would lifting the suspension on a Freelander not over extend the driveshafts and speed up wear on CV joints?

Driveshafts just articulate (which is what causes the camber problems which need to be rectified with pins), know of many people who've had lift kits fitted for years with no problems

Ah yeah I forgot it was secret mods only :p She might notice that she has to lift her leg higher to get in the car...unless you build her up for a few weeks saying she looks shorter then all of a sudden its harder to get in the car ;) although if I did that with SWMBO i'd end up with a knee in the bollocks

To be honest she loves the look of the Freelander with the spacers, :D
its justifying the extra expense this time of year..
will probably have to wait till new year,
but I am fairly determined to do it at some point, and you will get sales
when I do..(Friends & Family discount though)..;)

You should see the prices I charge family

With your arch mods, did you have to move the fuel pipe? I think I can see it in one of your pics but is that the standard routing?

You'll need to re-route the fuel lines to stop them rubbing against the track rods. :)

You don't need to disconnect them, just move them up out of the way whilst the track rod disconnected. I'll see if I can get a pic tomorrow.......not sure about 40mm kit, but I'd do it just to be on the safe side. :)

I didn't do it on mine, rods don't touch the lines at full extension so should be alright. It's personal preference though, it's easy to move them so if you want to move them then do it.

Moved mine as they touched. But like you say, it's personal preference. :)

try this.. apologies for the choice of soundtrack :( (it's not my video)

How to Install Camber Kit - YouTube

Thanks for the link.
I must be a pleb because I can't see whether he's put the camber bolt on the top or bottom hole?!

Also my kit came with a washer which appears to have a protruding bit to lock into a hole and then hammer down the lug over the nut?
But on the Freelander there is no hole to locate the protruding bit into?

I'm guessing also the cam has got to face out so that it pushes the top of the wheel away from the suspension strut? Or have I got this totally wrong?!

Fitted it properly today.
Not much room to swivel the handle on the washer facing the tyre but just managed to squeeze it in!
For a while it looked like I had too much camber dialled in but it seems to have settled in now.

Can anyone commend a way of checking the camber myself?

Really need to set it up properly with the measuring systems most places have, otherwise could be risking ridiculous tyre wear
