(30 second exposure on tripod, lit using my head torch - It was a very cold night (we were in down jackets) hence why all the window flaps are shut on the roof tent!)

Screwed up a bit today - we took a very short sandy track to a beach for lunch - on the way back out, after pumping up my tyres a bit more I failed to put the Disco in Low Ratio, failed to turn off DSP and failed to put it in sand mode oh and failed to build up any speed before hitting the sand - no surprise I got stuck in the middle of the sandy lane
Stuck a winch on the back and were about to tow back out so I could do it properly, but, then the lot in front appeared and winched me out forward instead, so, never got to try it again. Typical after 10 days or so of driving across the desert and through proper sand dunes that I get stuck on a little lane thing

Got pulled by the cops today too apparently we didn't stop at the second of two stop signs 50m apart - we did, but, in their eyes we didn't - so - we had to pay them some cash - funny how he was happy to receive £20 and not fill out the official form than fill out the form and take the full £50 (Which was actually for a serious road offense - don't think they realised my missus is 100% fluent in French) Anyway, not a lot you can do when dealing with corrupt police, so, we paid up and went on our way.

after a 2:30am start today due to the ferry at 11 being cancelled, we then got to the ferry terminal to be not allowed past the first check point without our tickets stamped by the 24 hour ticket office... which was shut. with the ferry leaving at 8am, person export, car export and car x-ray to be done, we all VERY impatiently waited around for over an hour for someone to come and man the ticket place to print us off some new tickets (no idea why, think it was just because it was a Thursday and the man got out of the wrong side of bed) thankfully everyone else was in a good mood and got us through everything and onto the ferry in time.
We're now sat in a lovely campsite on the South Coast of Spain just chilling before a long drive (800 miles i think) over the next 2 days. Then just a 24 hour ferry, 2 hour drive home, 6 hours of sleep (if we're lucky) and then work.
