So the P38 has been pretty good of late..

Though on the M25 last week i noticed the front right side was sagging a little low, got on to the A3, and YAY !! EAS Fault 35MPH Limit.

Well, it was going to come at some time.. put 4 new Arnott bags on today, the old fronts, on the sag side, has a split (the rears, dunlops, were pretty recent so will pass them to Grit Valve in return for his previous help, rather than sell them on flea bay)

However.... there's always a however with a rangie.... EAS pump is running, but suspension not rising up and still getting EAS Fault on the MFD..

Anyone in surrey Guildford-ish area have EAS fault clearing software.. i'm guessing i may well have a pump rebuild to occupy a dark night rather soon as well.

if a reliable cable is available then sure!

i'd even more prefer a dedicated ethernet connection to yoda's (datatek's) mind!

Whilst I am Guildford-ish...I only have the All Comms...

It is supposed to work with the P38 EAS but when I tried it on Dopeys P38, we couldn't get it to work - so Dopey Ordered the Lead from Datatek, I popped round with a Laptop (as Dopey doesn't/didn't have one) and it worked straight away...

You could try leaving the door open for 10 minutes or so with the engine running to ensure the air tank is definitely filled.
I notice from your picture that it's sitting very low.. when was that taken, as if it's been dropping like that for a long time the compressor is probably dead :/ (forget this if it was in access at the time of photo)

Saint.. even though we're on each others door steps, we're going to get an opportunity to meet sometime !

TC i'll give it a whirl (nb it hasn't dropped to the bumpstops ever and if left for a while stays leval all round, its been quick and responsive on the height changes)

as a side question does the EAS 'store' a fault, in other words, once a fault has occured and been rectified, the fault remains until cleared electronically?

The "Slow 35Mph" fault will not clear without diagnostics, what is more the compressor should not be running with a hard fault present.

It will if compressor is live and making air. All you get on diag is unknown fault. :):)
Never seen one where the compressor will run with a hard fault and the "Slow 35Mph" message, doesn't matter what the fault is if the message is triggered, the compressor should be disabled in the same software loop.
Maybe the relay is stuck?

Get this on mine very occasionally. Message on switch on, either switch off and back on to clear or drive a few yards to clear. Only fault shown is "Unknown fault." Car is not on bump stops though. It is that intermittent it is not a problem. I am thinking an height sensor but have not pinned it down yet.

Something odd about that Tony, should not be possible to have the message and the compressor running:confused:

I will agree with that if he has all the lamps lit? Relay stuck maybe a good shout if he has. If his compressor is running where is the air going?

I had my compressor running without beeing able to stop it ,unless i pulled the connector(s)
the rsw-kit couldn`t stop it either , someone here sugessted a stuck relay. a gentle tap on the eas relay, in the engine bay and that was the cure ,

compressor is running, i'll let it idle with a door open to refill the tank, i'd just rather have the capacity to check and clear fault codes and read what's going on before putzing around on other things.

before the airbag leak, it was functioning without any issue whatsoever, so i'm sure that all is good and the system needs some air in it by way of the compressor. wasnt sure if the eas systems held faults after rectification.

If it does rise it rises quickly that means pressure is good so is most likely to be an airbag. If it doesn't rise or rises very slowly then there's probs a valve block issue - check out wammers' how-to on EAS checks :)
