Any value in creating a couple of stickys to help answer recurring questions?

1) Part Numbers

I have found Retroanaconda to be really useful in finding the parts I need, allowing me to search Google by part number rather than name.

Links are:

90s
Index of /landrover/parts_books/90

110s
Index of /landrover/parts_books/110

2) Paint Colours

Stephen Hull's site has helped many, with colour codes, years and colour charts:

Sure loads will still ask rather than Google for themselves, but you never know...

Does anyone kno what the letters in the brackets with the colour codes mean? I want Epsom green but one has (LY) in.. Any difference?

I believe the letters refer to the PPG code system

PPG colour key

To the best of my knowledge the two are actually the same colour - in the same way as the same colour can have different names depending on the model applied to (mine is Alpine White, but was called Savarin White on I think Range Rovers - but they are the same colour!) - the chart shows the different codes that may appear on the VIN plate, but again are the same colour.

I know you need to be 100%, so I'd ask a paint supplier for the definitive advice - I've always found Auto Paint St Helens to be very helpful, and they reply really quickly to email enquiries too

Ahh right cheers fella, I will be re painting it Epsom green as some one has had a shocking attempt at painting it already! So it won't be the colour on the vin, but it is a standard landrover colour. My mate had a grill surround in the colour I wanted to asked the local landy specialist garage and he said it's Epsom green. So if it's the same colour it won't make any difference to me!

Cheers for the help fella.

In that case Karlos, I'd just specify Epsom Green LRC.961 when ordering - that's the code all paint shops (and even Halfords!) recognise

Look forward to seeing the piccys posted

Nice on SH, last bit of bulk head welding this weekend then I will make a start rubbing it down and getting it ready!

Looking for part no.s without success, can any one help me out??

I have a 1990, 110 van body and i want the part numbers for the four seals required to fit the van side panels to the tub and to the roof.
