Its got silly little tyres on, will have to get some bigger ones, also want to change the diffs for a higher ratio, have to look into what ones fit, then get a bit better top end and mpg.

LOVE IT!
But now I really want to get mine on the road (still rotting in a field :( )

My plan was always to put a 200tdi (minus the turbo) and then early Disco diff's (10 spline) which should increase your MPG and cruising speed.

Can't wait to see it. Can i have a drive :D

So I need to get hold of 10 spline diffs, are they a straight swop or does the prop need changing. Might get a S3 gearbox from a guy in Manningtree if so I,ll pop in on you.

Thats what i had read, but best to check with the experts.
Taking mechanical advice from me could lead to all sorts of problems.

If you do come to Manningtree, pop in for a cuppa. I'm off work next week.

think you will find they are a straight swap, just check the length of the nose might make prop a bit long/short. But arnt series diffs 4.75 ish and disco 3.54 thats a big up in gearing be OK down hill with a tail wind. 30-40mm taller tyres might be a better bet

definitely needs taller tyres, will research diffs a bit more.
