VCU which is the front?

Hi Guys,

I have had a fantastic day off road with the freelander today!

I refitted the prop after a period of fault finding that has now been resolved - all was well and I had no issues at all in the deep snow.

One question just to put my mind at rest -

Which end of the VCU is the front, i.e which way should it point?

I have it with the damper towards the back i.e the vcu body to the front.

Without going outside and checking, i'm pretty sure the damper faces the front of the vehicle

Well that could be scary if the damper is at the front.

I have looked at loads of pictures but often you cant be sure where the front end is due to the angle.

looking at this you tube I think im ok!

yeah thank for the vid, I forget how good youtube is some times!

all seems to suggest that damper is at the back.
