Yep, very nice to hear its a result.

Am ready for youtubeing also, it is very difficult to capture the bass on a mobile phone camera though which is something I have struggled with in past but I am imagining it now and will mentally fill in the gaps :p

It is actually a small block yes.

I have done some reading and it turns out that big block parts are prohibitively expensive and rare in the UK compared to small block which is doable for reasonable money.

Bugger!

doc you have never been right! you were born wrong :p

noisy I did wonder if fitting a smallblock might have been easier than finding those main bearings for my 4.4 at points lol

Boys
my engine is a 4-bolt small block chevy with a forged eagle stroker crank, lightweight racing pistons and a complete Edelbrock top end - heads, cam, inlet, rockers etc.

Edelbrock sell my exact spec engine as a Vic Edelbrock special crate engine - as I already had a fantastic 4-bolt block I just bought all their parts to build to that spec, and had the machining, balancing and assembly done by V8 Paul, master dragster-engine builder in Southampton.

It is considerably lighter than a big-block, and the dimensions are very similar to a Rover V8 - hence the nickname of Mighty Mouse - small but powerful - the big-block is also known as the rat motor(big mouse!!!!)

Final assembly is beiing done this week (seats, trim, alarm etc) and MOT day is on thursday -friday is road test and final adjustments, followed by final valet and I am collecting the old girl on saturday - have to say I can't wait.
