Just broken down would like a bit advice

I've just broken down. The car was driving fine then I lost all drive to the wheels so pulled over. The clutch is working fine put it in gear and get no drive at all in 4h & 4l if I put the transfer in to 4h or 4l in the diff lock then I have drive.
So my question is is it the half shafts or the transfer box.

Got to be that..

probably one of the cv joints, jack the front up on axle stands , take the diff filler plug out and rotate one of the front wheels.... the one thats broke wont turn anything in the diff..... if they both turn bits in the diff but the propshaft dont try and turn the diff is bust.

thats easy enough then.

Dont take RAC man as gospel they are a bit limited on 4wd JMHE

I found the problem lol picked up a new half shaft up on my way home then 2 hours later its all fixed

shame on you,
that CV joint looks drier then a virgins love tube.
get some graphite grease an EP90 in tother, then same with new one this side

There was some grease in there ok may about a tea spoon full lol
I still new to this Landy so haven't really checked the swivels. But I've learnt my lesson now

Ouch! Must check mine before something like that happens. Is it an easy job topping up with grease and oil?
