Er..... why dont you give him a call. He'll be able to let you know the skinny better than all the guesses on here. He's a busy bunny so the sooner you call the better.

Yes he can fit them while you wait but its not a five minute job. If you get stuck in and help out it takes less time. There is a lot of prep work you can do beforehand to save time on the day. If you dont then there's nothing to do on Canvey Island so bring a book and expect a long day.

I had a BritFart crossmember installed about a year ago.
Total garbage.
Its so cheap that I would not remount the towing stuff.

I am going to order one of these, I hope he will deal with FedEx to ship it too me.

BTW, where do I go to order?

Thanks.

Its only quicker if the customer has a clue otherwise helping adds a couple of hours to the job:)

sold a x member to a local garage this week,they charged £800 labour:eek:

how much!!

It took 6 hours to do mine, at full rate thats about £350, £800 is bordering on disgusting! Its because its not really a DIY job unless your skilled in welding so some people will pay whatever their 'trusted' garage tells them...

Here Clive, you made me an HD bumper last year and it's lovely..! I'm going to put it on my series, hopefully it doesn't look too wide. Can you do Series crossmembers? The one on Itchy looks like it's made out of what they make tuna tins...

Also, if my sliders do fit can you make them too?

Ta, D

Thought I'd put my bit in. Clive made me a HD Crossmember last summer.
It was a fantastic piece of workmanship. Just took about three months to fit cause of all the rain we had last summer.
It's probably the strongest bit of my Landy.
Still driving around with no front bumper so thats on my list when I have the money. So is the NAS rear step with tow mount(I believe he makes them too)
Also, If you are reading Clive do you do Tree sliders to replace the cills???
Thats on my list too.
Plug over

Cool, I might get you to have a go.

And we were saying good things about your fabrications, your junk (as I think them yanks use to refer to their private parts) is yer own business!

got mine off of pressbrake a couple of months back with all the mods at no extra cost, significantly cheaper than a standard crossmemmber and twice as thick with all the mods i want already done :) couldn't recommend them enough although mabie a set of instructiuons would be helpful when trying to piece it all together ;) just being constructive

So? Is P/B back in business? If so I would be interested in having my x-member done by him. Been looking around and his work looks far supirior then anyone else.
Definitely don't want to take it to my local land rover "specialist" the guy is an idiot. So be warned people, don't take your pride and joy into DAS land rover Horley. Every job he's done for me I've had to re-do myself a week or so later.
