Who's Disco ? Do they know ?![]()
What the hell is a nanocom when its at home.It can be disabled with a Nanocom or similar.
Sounds very expensive...Its a diagnostic device specifically for TD5 engined Landrovers.
Until you realise what a main dealer will charge just to clear any fault codes etc.Sounds very expensive...

Picked my used original Nanocom up on fleabay in as new condition. Has earned its keep already in terms of diagnosing faults let alone what its saved me in unnecessary spare parts and labour charges.
Was super useful to me when I borrowed it. LR told me I needed a new ABS modulator and shuttle valve assembly when I got the three amigos just before my MOT was due. Ran a brake system bleed cycle with Ratty's Nanocom and all was well. Saved me nearly £800 plus labour. My Nanocom has been invaluable too. Even when not using it to diagnose faults I still use it in instrument mode to monitor battery voltage, coolant temp, boost pressure and as a rev counter.

When I went back to LR to try and tell them what was actually wrong they chucked me out. Shysters. Its still perfectly OK nearly two years later.
Still owe you a beer or three mate.
The alarm is a separate unit to the ECU so its not just specific to TD5s
Well, after one week my TD5 has let me down AGAIN.!!!!!!!!
Won't let me in without setting off alarm/ immobiliser..
Don't know anyone near me with nanocom so if i can get it sorted i,ll sell it and NEVER buy another TD5...
Had 5 200 Disco,s in the past and never had problems with them. None i could'nt fix with a spanner that is..
Thanks for all the advice but TD5's are not for me...
Is yours an all in one key and plip or is it a key with a seperate plip?
Does the lock/arm button still work while the unlock/disarm button won't?
Unlock button does the alarm/disable as well as unlock all doors. When it feels like working...I.E.One button to unlock and disarm imobiliser, one button to lock and imobilise.
Listen, thanks for all info/replies ect but i,m gonna sell it and move on...
Thanks again to you all.![]()
IMO you need a receiver not a fob...and that's more cheaper ... you'll loose more than £40(price of a receiver) if you will try to sell it unfixed
