Bugger - just when things were going so well.
This morning and out of the blue, the Disco (2.8 TGV) took 15+ turns to start. There was not a glimmer of firing until I linked my two batteries together and then it fired - no noticeable clouds of smoke, just fired up. Normally takes 1 turn and a split second.
After two miles, I called into get diesel and it failed to restart - yes I did fill it up with diesel
. Eventually through repeated turning over, the batteries flattened and the RAC were called. The patrol man hand primed the pump, undid each injector in turn and it fired up. He is saying that the pressure at the pump is disappearing once the engine is swiched off.
The engine and all ancilliaries including the fuel pump were brand new in February. Since the engine fitting, an Allisport full width intercooler has been fitted (10 days ago) but everything has worked absolutely fine since then.
I'd love to hear your suggestions unless those suggestions involve swapping the car for a Mars Bar, etc.:bounce:
