Project 90

Hey everyone! Just started my Defender rebuild today, on a 1992 Defender 90 - 2.5 N/A diesel. I'm only 16 so cut me some slack.. Thought i would start a thread to keep you posted on my progress and in case i need to inquire of some assistance. I'll try and upload some photos from today's work. It was mostly admin stuff and getting things organised but managed to do some basic stripping down of the car too. Let me know what you think!

haha, yeah i did figure that..although this is meant to be an ongoing project to either be sold after or given to my dad. So most likely ill be driving a different car next year!

Thank you for all the support! @hawky666 yeah that's what my dad did for me, i am interested in mechanics and definitely Land Rovers!ha so thought it would be a good project.
Did a bit more work today, although spent most the time fiddling with bloody rusted screws and nuts i managed to get most of the front tidied up, includin wiring and took most the lights of including the rotary beacon on the top!

You keep going lad, we all have to start somewhere and being 16 you have years ahead of you and you will have gained some knowledge just by doing what you have done so far!!! . . . When the project is done, my guess is you won't want to give it to your dad and you certainly wont want to part with it.... the Landy will do to you what is does to monst men and thats get in your blood stream and you will be a landy lover forever!!! welcome to the mad house ....

Nice landy you got there boss. I'm 17 and no it doesn't pull the girls haha. Can I ask how the snorkel is fitted and how its joined to the airbox? Does the heater unit in top right of the offside wing not fowl with the snorkel or what?? Im working out how to do a safari snorkel on my 2.5 naturally gasping. Cheers.
