Anyone put Snorkle anywhere but up windsceen?

I have seen someone with a disco 1 route a snorkel through the bulkhead, through one of the vents in the dash, and up to the roof inside the vehicle.

I know of at least one trialer that has had the pipe work routed into the passenger area (along the gearbox tunnel) and out the back then up the bulkhead behind the seats. Works a treat for him, just used large bore stainless pipe.

it is,,,and comes complete with expanding foamthought that was a bit of underground pipe
4" plastic drainpipe should do it and the bends are available.
Was going to put the exhaust through a tube running inside at the back to come out the roof.
Say 6" tube sealed at roof and floor an the exhaust running through it to exit offside rear roof with a bend to stop water getting in.
could run air intake the other side coming out the roof and sitting under the roof rack.

Always wanted vertical exhaust. Like on trucks with there flap on the top.
Had one on me slitty pick up, flutter cap and all
Came up behind the cab, will have to get a Landy pickup.

We had to bodge up a mates snorkel a while ago and ran flexi pipe from the air can out under the bonnet and up inside the cab, duct taping it to the sun visor...It made a horrific ammount of noise so it's probably best to keep it outside the cab.

Thats exactly what I have seen done.
Thats always been the simplist way however they are very vulnerable to damage on the front wing especially in among trees etc, so from a trialing point of view it makes sense to tuck them out the way behind a truck cab.

They mount them up the windscreen for a reason, if it ain't broken then don't fix it
thats exactly why i put mine up the back of the cab , seen so many guys loose tops off thier snorkels or ripped um off all together

I knocked off my snorkel top on saturday, somehow it ended up on the roof rack but fell off down the windscreen and bonnet and i then drove over it!

Wish I had a truck cab....V8 with twin stacks:love:thats exactly why i put mine up the back of the cab , seen so many guys loose tops off thier snorkels or ripped um off all together
