Forgot to reply to the OP - my mods (alloy wheels basically) are listed on the (Admiral) policy itself.

NFU lists mods on the Statement of Car Insurance it sends out with renewal notices, under "About your car" next to the heading "Vehicle Modifications" - it is their standard practice.
If your renewal is anything like mine it might well be academic ( over 70% increase since last year )
