I'm happy for the dog, too. Mine never puts on the safety belt, silly buggar!

If the bbq will be late summer I might join in, bring some fancy german beer. My dog may only come to blight then, because of the rabies test having to be six months old...

Those pet passports. :) We've done it a few times between the continent and here ...I always think something will go wrong with the microchip readers..:)

we are VERY dog friendly :)

Thanks Guys (I presume you are all or mostly chaps!) I'll keep updating with news re valuation etc.

I dont mind the passports, I would mind them NOT checking pets. Dont wont rabies in Blighty... Same goes for the six month period after testing for rabies. I dont mind it, as long as everyone is checked.

As long as you dont mind a 4 stone, 20 inch beagle participating. Very nosey, very friendly. Dont cuddle him though, he will follow you around EVERYWHERE. (Guests at ours did that. They didnt find it funny that he followed them to the loo then... or tried to sit on their lap!!)

(Thats his "I'm a very serious dog. Now pet me!" look. He than starts scraping with his paw, preferrable your arm, leg or any other exposed area)

definitely gotta rebuild that. if you have spent so much on in in the first place, you may aswel spend another 1000 and still have it (especially seen as you dont particularly want rid of it!)

buy it back and get some of the guys to have a look for you.

So have you decided when you're going to rebuild it yet? I know it's been said but that looks an easy job. Longest bit will be the bulkhead because you have to take everything to bits to get it out like a jigsaw. You could probably just weld the top half of another bulk head on but that would be a huge bodge so for the sake of a few days work you may as well do it right and get a galvanised one too. The roof and sides are an hours job, they just bolt on and seal the gaps.
The wing just needs taking off, hammering out and then a bit of filler will sort it.
Finally treat yourself to a proper respray for around £500 and it will be fine.
With the money left over get yourself some nice new defender alloys to really finish it off.
