I pretty sure my IRD is knackered so I was planning on buying a reconditioned unit with reconditioned VCU as this is probably gone too.
Has anyone used the web site "freelanderirdspecialists.com" if so what's your feedback?
Can anyone recommend a good supplier of reconditioned units?

I have just used these. Very helpfull and Price was the cheapest i could find with a years warranty.

Would recommend.

I didn't have the same experience as you.

I went ahead, ordered and paid for an IRD and VCU from this guy. The delivery was never made and after quiet a few emails trying to find out what was happening he offered a full refund which I accepted. I have not been refunded and he is not answering any emails....

I would definitely not recommend “freelander IRD specialists”.

2 people from this forum have now been ripped off by this cowboy outfit.

THEY ARE A RIP-OFF COWBOY OUTFIT THAT WILL FOB YOU OFF WITH LIES AND BROKEN PROMISES.

UNLESS YOU ARE RICH AND LIKE THROWING MONEY AWAY STEER CLEAR OF THEM.
 
I hate to admit this but I think Ive feel vitcim to this cowboy too :-(

I have done a little digging and found out that he's also done it to two other people, one in Spain and one in Italy.

Anyone actually got this ****er's number? And does anyone know if its a ligit address?

Supposing your customers might want a re-fund, How would they go about asking for it? Telephone? email? Whats the prefered method and how long should they expect to wait before seeing their money back in FULL?

I for one will be interested to see the outcome of this.:pop2:

I beg to differ... I have been trying for over two weeks to get a refund off you. You ignore all my emails but ones sent from a different account asking to buy, you reply to them within hours.

You do not have a contact telephone number and I never got a reply from a letter I sent to your address which was posted on your website.

As for John Davis is that anything to do with the street name next to the one you use on your website? (Check google maps.)

You are a cowboy outfit and I feel stupid for being duped by you, but I shall do my best to make sure others are warned..

Want to prove otherwise? Then pay back what you've taken.

Not been fully refunded. Got £100 back but been waiting on the remaining £635 for over three weeks now. Keep getting emails telling I am refunded or going to be refunded but as yet nothing.
If it's a legitimate business why would it take so long to pay a refund and without any explanations to the delays?

I spose if freelanderirdspecialists don't have the backbone to answer you guys the next step woule be trading standards and the police. I wonder how many counts of fraud (obtaining goods/services/money by deception) there have been by this company?
