Hi to all, I have a 1995 discovery 300 tdi, Was on the motoway doing 50 ish, disco pulled violently to the right, hit the brakes, got onto hard shoulder looked under and the rear tie bar has snapped. lucky it was was quiet !!. Had to get RAC to take me home.
It has snapped on the weld on the chassis end.
Need to know if its worth welding or replaceing the bar?
If its a replacement does anyone know the part number?
Should I replace the other side at the same time? it looks ok but the broken one looked ok,wasnt rusted badly.
Is this a common part to fail? wouldnt want this to happen on a busy road etc !!
Thanks Rob

It might be called the REAR SUSPENSION LOWER LINK, It connects the REAR axel TO THE NON GALVENISED CHASSIS..
IT has bushes at each end and uses a pivot bolt to connect it to the axel.
Am I wasting my time !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
