    Just about to fit the BMW oil separator to my 2005 Td4. Referencing the Haynes Manual (Section 4C.3), it refers to removal of the 'depression limiting valve, complete with filter'. Is this the part that requires removal, to enable the oil separator to be fitted in place of the filter...

    locking wheel nut

    Reading these locking wheel nut threads, it does seem as if the value of fitting them is debatable. However, the wheels on my Td4 Sport look so vulnerable (especially the spare, mounted on the rear door with only 3 std nuts for comfort), I think I need to make an effort to keep hold of them...

    Well actually, on Saturday - picked-up new (to me), Freelander Td4 Sport. Just the oil separator and possible EGR blanking mod to sort. :)

    bmw crankcase breather

    I'm picking-up an '05 plate TD4 Sport on Saturday and am just researching a few common faults, beforehand. Excellent and informative post... I'll be ordering the BMW oil separator part, right away. :)
