I'm in the process of changing the rubber seals on the rear quarter windows but I've found that the corners aren't sitting flush. Anybody know how to stop this from happening? (I've not applied the locking/finishing trim on the inside yet)

Had a leaky rear hub (drum brakes) and want to check that the outer seal and seal spacer are fitted the right way round. I've attached a photo showing both. It's difficult to tell from workshop manual. Cheers

Doing an oil change on defender 200tdi engine. Before change dipstick was just below max. Vehicle has been left standing overnight. When I drained the oil it was only about 3 litres worth. (left it draining for about 15min). What's going on?

Quick question on aluminium galvanic corrosion. Will the corrosion stop if it's isolated and not in contact with other metal, or will it continue spreading like rust and need to be cut out?

With my 200tdi I have noticed that when I was driving the teflon seal into the flywheel housing it was very tight and parts of the green (teflon?) was coming off and sticking to the side. Is this normal?? In the end I bitched the seal as it was tight and i need a better driving tool.

Bit of a silly question but I'm fitting a new side fuel tank (90 200tdi) and can't remember how the 2 front rubber mounts are used. Do they go either side of the tank or both go on top? The work shop manual pics aren't clear but they seem to suggest that both go on top. Attached pic for example.
