I am with TD4Van on this. On the facelift, the switch should be illuminated but not flash. Just the lights on the dash will flash in time with the clicking. Don't waste your money buying a new switch, as it is unlikely to change what you have now.

TBH spending money on other repairs at the moment - Replaced drop links 8k miles ago and am now having to do them again this morning. Buy cheap and you get what you pay for I guess?
