Mine does this as well - only it seems to lose power at the point you would expect it to change gear. Went into an independent for warranty work, and they changed the MAF. Bit better, but not perfect. Looking forward to getting back to a VAG car when I move this one on! Really like driving it...

I had an AA warranty on the Defender (don't need it at the moment as the Freebie's on LR Warranty), which was something like £15 per month on top of the recovery option. Seemed to cover quite a lot of stuff. I'll probably go with another AA Warranty once this one runs out... Cheers Ben
