They are completely off when its dark and headlights on, and light up when you turn lights off

It is a UK car, the clock doesn't light up at all lights on or off, all the push buttons to the right of the air con panel hill decent, hazard lights ect all work the right way round light up when head lights on, its just the complete air con panel and the digital display in the speedo cluster...

I was thinking that but the lights on the entire air con unit turn off buttons and display, seemed a bit strange but if that's the way it works then all is good I think

Changed mine on a disco 2 without disconnecting the battery just don't put your face front of the air bag just incase hahaha, easy enough job though

Exactly what my old disco used to do door pin not going all the way up, a bit of a pain to get at follow the guide it helped me loads, prepare for some knuckle scrapping boot one is the worst one to do i thought no room in there at all
