P.S. I changed the front first - this made things FAR worse steering wise! The back seemed totally disconnected once the front was under control. I was amazed how things at the back can affect the direction of travel1

I recently replaced all 4 shocks and the steering damper - they didnt actually feel that bad as the wear was all equal (if that makes sense??). However apart from it being a different machine comfort wise it does drive in a straight line now! If they look shot (mine did not) it may well be...

Low Road Noise AT Tyre Recommendation??

Shipping to and from Bulgaria is UNBELIEVABLY expensive - just shipped a 13 kg small package to the UK and it was £110.00 ! However if your well organized you can usually get one of the better companies to special order what you need from wherever they get them from. It may take a month or two...

Low Road Noise AT Tyre Recommendation??

Right ill go and see what the local excuse for BFG's not being available is and why i should buy some Rumanian crap with a wobbly un centered tread and a speed rating so slow its given in pictogram of animals - snail, tortoise, dog, hair, donkey, horse. Im not kidding they still use horse and...

I've just ordered 35" tyres. Do I need to change my gearing?

Despite owning a D1 im still not a huge fan (getting there) but i have to say your's looks cool - mine, despite only 50k mls, still looks like an old / uncool SOS. There are many local guys who trick them out (here in Bulgaria) and they just look like money pit SOS's instead of looking like...

    How reliable is your Disco

Not an option for me in Bulgaria - and the temp can be down to -30 degC and even close to home you can be on roads you wont see anything but Bears and Wolves for days on end - no kidding!! Hence (partly) my paranoia about it being reliable. However in winter we do carry proper survival kits...
