Well my 85 110 has never had a handbrake light, have a look at the brake handle behind the shield, if there is a wire and a switch then the bulb could be gone or the switch dirty... no wires/switch then the light never worked!

Mine is a TDi conversion from disco to 110 and uses the Disco sender and the 110 NA guage. Sits half way on the guage, but the engine is no way warm, can happily hold on to any pipe and not get burnt... Think my Thermostat is stuck open, not sure. The heater is not that hot so its possible...

300 TDi should return about 30ish to the gallon, depends on how you drive it!

Would suggest to take it back to the steeler with the report and tell them to put right or you will take it further with the DOT and also Trading Standards, if they are a member of a regulatory body then also worth getting in touch with them. Oh and tell us who it was so we can all avoid them...

Would say 110, but have not been in a 90 so not really able to pass judgement! For me the best way will be to go to the steeler and look at a few, if any stand out and you like the price then buy it 110 or 90 is not an issue as you can always work around problems.. but buy a car you not 100%...

Would go for smoothrite unless you like the hammered finish, tis what the local indi puts on all the repairs he does!

Vitara is great for the long motorway runs, car like driving with full time 4x4 for when the weather turns bad. Fuel is about the same as the Tdi so only gain in the confort front.

Try Plasticote paint (from local B&Q or similar) designed for use on Plastic! so should be more flexible

think that will be a Q plate then, unless you (on paper) do the changes one by one.. over a few months, ie change engine and gear box now, then in '6 months' change the chassis. For the money you could also just buy another 90 with a good chassis on and swap the good bits on yours into it????

If ya don't mind using re molds then Tyresdirect.co.uk do some good tyre wheel packages.. 4 x 235/85/16 MT on white 8 spoke 310 quid... 235/70/16 on black mods 270 quid (and that is for all 4!) Have used the colway AT on a few of my vehicles, same patern as BFG AT and last well too.

The steve parker kit is well worth the money, have to agree with the above the mounts are the worst but you can use the ones from your NA, think the engine mount to gearbox is less one bolt, (could be other way round) and some pipes for intercooler and rad need to be made longer. Oh and be...
