Whilst been out in my 300tdi disco this weekend with some of my green laneing buddys, we went out in the peak, ive had a bit of an accident involveing a tree and my roof.. we were traveling along nice and steady (i was lead vehicle) and my disco found a bit of embankment and before you know it...

thats a serious brain teaser, i would test all the compressions to make sure the head and valves are seating fine etc, if there all fine and the timing is spot on it should fire, but if its smoking ( unburt fuel) on crancking, it would be worth have the injectors spray pattern checked as if the...

Thanks for that james, yeah i was pretty sure it was fuel, as you say if it hangs around, adjusted it today and it seems too be running spot on. :) i also removed the egr and fitted a blanking kit, and removed and chemicaly cleaned the inlet manifold.

:) My disco seems too be smokeing a little underload, its a white/grey smoke, which indicates fuel, it doesent burn any oil, and im just wondering if the diesel pumps are adjustable? and if so has anyone got any ideas on how many degrees to go with it? thanks guys.
