the very same thing has just happened to me today, as i drove home from work my suspension was riding higher and higher on the left. got home, thought as the engine was off it would stop filling and as i was loading up the computer, an almighty explosion followed by a landrover sat on its arse...

as was suggested earlier in one of the posts it was infact a warped exhaust manifold that was squealing. a couple of snapped studs too but all sorted now by the awsome chaps at keith gott landrover

Hi all, tomorrow i will e replacing my cam cover gasket. i have the replacement part but before fitting just wanted to check if i needed to do anything special. does the gasket need to be clean and dry or coated in oil or something else? cheers:confused::confused:

hi i was in low range and all was green with no warning tone. i took it to brooklyn4x4 and they put their machine on it and it said all was fine but when i took it to landrover they said it was definately not working.

oh i did have it in landrover the other day and they said it wasnt working and that it would need further investigation aka more money.

as i go down the hill there is no speed control and it speeds up to the point that i have to break so im pretty sure it doesnt work. i was under the impression that it kept the car at no more than 5 mph which mine is definately not.

hi just a question, i was climbing around my engine compartement yesterday and i noticed two lose rubber tubes in the bottom of the engine, they appear to come up from the rear of the vehicle and just end in a right angle. is it supposed to be attached to anything?

Hello all, having now fixed my starter motor issue i have now noticed that my hill descent control doesnt work. everything engages fine and all the lights are good but when i actually descend the hill there is no resistance and just a winding/ wirring noise as i free ride down. any ideas? im not...

hold the phones, i have just fixed the problem, with a hammer. i found the starter motor and beat it and hey presto starts just fine. cheers for all the tips though. does this mean i need a new sarter motor now?

ok so the latest developement is that the car wont start at all. i got in it this morning and it wont even turn over. i initially tried to jump start it with a mates car ut his dodnt work either and it took me while to realise that the battery is fine. All electrics work fine and the headlights...

still no joy, took it to landrover and they cannot find the problem. they did say it seemed quite spritely for a disco and it may have been chipped but they couldnt tell. got it serviced too and this also didnt help. symptoms still remain.:mad:
