    Vibration / wobble / shake

 Hi folks hope someone can help. I'm afraid this is a bit long winded. Had rear tyres replaced. About a month later started getting a low speed (30mph ish) shake. I knew the front tyres were on their way out so put it down to them and got them changed. Shake still there. Also had a...

    Key barrel

Oh yeah should of said that as cipx2 says I now have an extra key on the keyring as this was just a new barrel with a pair of keys and not matched to my existing key. Still it was under £20 including P&P so I'm not too worried.

Hooray!! Spoke to Vosa enforcement office today. Private use you need a tacho over 7.5t so that clears me with my trailer when I use it with weekends away with the family. Over 3.5t business use need a tacho but there is an exemption for agriculture, horticulture and fisheries vehicles within...

Bugger! I thought you might say that. Cheers for the help. I think my friendly local garage has laptop thing that can be connected up to landrovers I'll have to ask him.

    Key programming

Sorry to bring this up again everyone. Have just got a spare key fob. Came to program it and realised that the instructions I have are for the 1 button fob. Mine is a 2 button fob on a M reg 300tdi. Will these instructions work on mine? If not does anyone know the sequence? Cheers...

    Alarm / locking keyfob

The one I got was for my 300tdi disco 1 but I would have thought that you could program the fob from one disco 2 to another disco 2. I'm not an expert though, hence the question I posted on here. I'm sure there are loads of people on here who could give you a more definative answer.

According to the LRO article then once you have the tacho fitted you have to stick to the driving hours regs the same as lorry and coach drivers do and you have to keep the tacho records for years and years and years so they can check back and catch you out. But yeah I think it's just silly red...

    Alarm / locking keyfob

I got it from e-bay. It's a separate fob with two buttons. E-bay shop called Auto Parts Revisited. He lists fobs for loads of different vehicles. Mine cost me £13.99 plus £2.50 p+p. I think most are refurbished but it came in a little bag with a landrover genuine parts label on it and...

    New Discovery earning its keep.

According to LRO October 2006 issue where they did an article on fitting a tacho to their Defender the situation regarding needing a tacho is as follows. Driving a vehicle for commercial purposes with the gross permissable weight of said vehicle (or vehicle trailer combo) being over 3.5 tonnes...

    Alarm / locking keyfob

Just a quick query. I only got one key fob with the vehicle. I have now bought a spare one. When I go through the programming sequence, holding down the bonnet switch and locking / unlocking etc. When I get to the part when you press the button on the key fob to program it in do I need to do...

    Sorry Central Locking again.

No problem. Nice of you to try and help. I have a good mechanic near me who is going to have a look and failing that there is a good independant land rover specialist a little way away on Anglesey so hopefully it will get sorted one way or another.

    Sorry Central Locking again.

Checked today. Can't see any way of adjusting between the button and the locking motor. It's all rigid rods. There is a threaded adjustable one between the outside handle and the lock but that didn't help the problem. Hell !!! Looks like the garage is going to have to have a go. Thanks for the...

    Sorry Central Locking again.

Fantastic will have a look tomorrow. Getting the door card off isn't a problem I've had it of today trying to see if there was anything obvious I could see wrong. Will it be obvious how to do this when I get to it or do you have any words of wisdom?

    Sorry Central Locking again.

Hi, just bought my first Discovery a 300Tdi Commercial. Love it to bits, drives lovely but the bl**dy central locking is driving me insane and getting me huge amounts of grief from my other half (I thought you said it was a good one, aren't Land Rovers supposed to be good etc). When I got it the...

    Recovery Points

Hi, I'm just in the process of purchasing a 300Tdi Discovery Commercial. I intend to do some greenlaning in it. What's the best way of installing recovery points? I have a towbar on the back which I can use so I'm mainly thinking of front recovery points. It's mainly my work vehicle so I'd only...
