 Hi folks hope someone can help. I'm afraid this is a bit long winded.

Had rear tyres replaced. About a month later started getting a low speed (30mph ish) shake. I knew the front tyres were on their way out so put it down to them and got them changed. Shake still there. Also had a squeak / squeal which I thought was a belt. Next thing hey presto front prop shaft UJ goes bang. Now have a new prop shaft fitted. BUT still have the shake.

It starts about 25mph and has largely gone between 35 and 40. I can feel it through the seat / body of the vehicle rather than the steering wheel so I'm guessing it isn't front tyre balance. It is most noticable when the engine is under load ie. going up hills. Doesn't seem to appear going down hill.
I've had the balance of one rear tyre checked. (they are supposed to check the other one next week as they ran out of time today). The local garage says he doesn't know exactly what to try next if the wheel balancing doesn't sort it.

Has anyone got any ideas please.

Cheers

Chris

my wifes td5 done this last month but at 40 mph!! after invest i found the inner surfaces of the wheels had a fair bit of mud on em as she does actually go off road(rare nowadays too see a landrover off the tarmac i know)-inbalancing the tyres- scraped and hosed it all out and job done.:p
