    GibboGTI - I had Bell replace my VCU last year and it's been faultless since and a great price too. I had Mark Smith in Bicester (Land Rover specialist) quote £700 plus to do it :-(

    Fantotank I'm afraid the symptoms you describe are usually symptomatic of solenoid failure within the mechanism. I had exactly the same on mine and the only fix was to replace the mechanism with a new one. Parts cost approx £75 and can be fitted by an amateur mechanic in a couple of hours...
