Rear side window does not operate

My OSR window does not open or close. When I press the switch on either the door or driver's door I merely here a clicking noise from the relay in the fuse box. I have swapped this relay for the one next to it in order to eliminate it as the cause and it makes no difference.

If it is the motor or a broken cable, Land Rover Parts Shop are doing "Allmakes" complete units cheap at the moment. Just done my N/S rear, £44. Hardly worth the hassle of an ebay cable kit. Grease the new ones cables well though!

Well I took the plunge and bought an allmakes complete unit £72 delivered (why is the driver's side more expensive than the near side?) and fitted it this evening. I couldn't believe how easy it was, only took about 20 minutes.

The old unit's motor was actually still operational but the wires were all twisted up on each other and someone had obviously tried (unsuccessfully) to repair it previously.

Happy owner again now for the VCU replacement, EGR bypass and door locking solenoid replacement.....

Very same problem as mine on the same window,it doesn't give me any concern as I'll never be a passenger in my own car but the info & advice above is handy know!
