    I just got an L322

yeah, I still love the old P38, but the new one is... newer. I did a bit of reading on the net about the L322 and learnt that between them, Ford and BMW sank £2 billion into the development of the new car. Given that they had the engine already, that must have gone into the drivetrain, body...

    I just got an L322

Sort of feel like I'm selling out, but as I've said elsewhere, we're not using the Audi at all and we're using the P38 all the time, most recently last week, we took the P38 for a weeks holiday on the south coast (500 trouble-free miles). A few weeks ago, I had a Ducati show to go to, so we...

    Looking at an L322

Thanks for the advice. Much appreciated. The car is all good. No dramas, very pretty and drives very well. A few small scratches and just one key so I'll need to address that asap. Service history includes a couple of services at my local dealer, so, like the P38, it's coming home again. Mixed...

    Looking at an L322

Since I bought the P38 in Dec (expecting it to go pop), we've pretty much forgotten about the poor old Audi and used the RR all the time. So, after spending most of last weekend in Thunderbird 2, I decided that I didn't want to go zooming around in an S4 any more, I just wanted the RR. But maybe...

    Bought a scrapper

New shape vogue being revealed !

I'm with Jerry. Maybe not 17 years, but if it's anything like the current 4.4 diesel (had a spin in one last week - £75,000 ), it will be an amazing vehicle. Not too bothered what a car looks like to an extent. I'm not looking at it when I'm inside and it has two too many wheels to be...

    Quick and dumb question...

I have a rectangular box. So GEMS then. I guess if it really wanted to destroy itself, it would have done it by 137,000 miles.

    Quick and dumb question...

you might be right, but I'm pretty sure that when I bought the car I got a Thor motor? Maybe wrong, but it's a good buy so far.

    Air con issue

my Kwikfit wouldn't recharge it without a proper test as I opened with: I think my condenser is knackered. They said it was illegal to discharge the gas into the atmosphere. At that point, I left... Re the antibacterial treatment, I think the cartriges are £10 - less on ebay. There are plenty...

    Air con issue

my local KwickFik couldn't do a dye test. Took it to a specialist a/c company who were (not cheap but) very professional. BTW, Saint, nice new wheels! I missed that purchase.

    Quick and dumb question...

yes, thanks, they were the interchangeable parts. The EAS has been largely behaving itself, but it occasionally freaks out, generally on very uneven road surfaces, or when the tyres are running at higher pressures. I'm going with the theory that the sensors are all over the place as ...

    Quick and dumb question...

excellent, thanks. Thought it was on the windscreen, but I dodn't want to blow good cash on the wrong parts by reading the wrong number. Hadn't thought about the V5 tho, thanks DT. BTW, the old girl is driving really well, no dramas. Very happy with her. Fixed an oil leak from the...

    Quick and dumb question...

the VIN number: it's the one in the bottom right (passenger side) of the windscreen? I need to buy some ride height sensors. Thanks!

I did it! I found 1 and bought it!

    that's really nice!

    Air con issue

why does the dozel have a belt and the petrol doesn't? BTW, got mine regassed recently and the guy said that if he hadn't done a dye test, he'd have sworn it had a leak - it took a huge amount of gas!
