Hi all, Been to the garage this morning, Told they had done 3 different tests on the engine and come up with no problem, head gasket ok, said he has bled the coolant system off in case it was an air lock, and just to keep an eye on temp and water level.

Be my luck ! Just spoken to a friend on the phone he said he had a similar problem with an air lock on a v6 granada and emptied the coolant completly and gave it a flush through and that done the job, but doesnt know anything about freelanders. Could this be a similar problem or just get the...

Hi, mhm. Yes when I switch off the engine you can hear the gurgling noise coming from the header tank. Is that normal ?
