temp rises quickly

Thanks everyone, ive wrote everything down and will give it to the garage in the morning with the recorded milage,( in case i get it back with an extra 500 miles on the clock). Thanks for the advice,
 
Hi all, Been to the garage this morning, Told they had done 3 different tests on the engine and come up with no problem, head gasket ok, said he has bled the coolant system off in case it was an air lock, and just to keep an eye on temp and water level.
 
have they done a "sniffer" check to test for combustion gasses in the coolant?
if not - get it done - if they have relax.

As i sed before - the gasket can go with NO increase in coolant temperature - coz yu aren't measuring it at the engine!:eek:
