Hi all, think ove made a mistake

there is an argument that sez that is worst case - because the engine doesnt have time to even out temperature as it would on a long run. It also gets less airflow thro rad to cool it. Dont worry aboiut it tho - if it happens - it duz - no point in being paranoic! If yu are REALLY concerned then get an aftermarket electric water pump and set it up to run after the engine is turned off - this will disipater any hot spots and will reduce the risk of localised boiling.
It has been covered in considerable depth on here - do a search for "kv6" "water pump" or "kv6 head gasket"

I bought a land rover today, I fancied the discovery.... But gave into my wife wanting the freelander, Im sitting here thinking I should of left her at home...

I suppose the moral here is not to tell the wife/partner what you are buying?;)

Bet she does not discuss with you what she is buying when shopping (what is that the ladies call it retail therapy? :D )

Sometimes it pays not to be too honest?

I agree. but the good thing to come out of it, is that I like the freelander and now im looking for a second for off road. :D

Me too and the date was 13th but not friday, I guess any 13th is a bad day!! My wife would have talked me out of a Freelander as she is into BMW's and Audi....had that been the case.... who knows..... still the freelander is a problem now...
