    Think regardless of age it's important to leave yourself a slush fund for when a warning light appears. Great fun though and there are lots of knowledgeable people around on here to help. I'd probably just go for buy the best you can afford but don't forget the 'rainy day' fund

    That sounds good, was worried when I read on the net about needing to remove the axels to sort this, sounded expensive. Thanks for the help. Sometimes wish I'd got a little more mechanical knowledge. But happy to keep learning!

    Thanks guys oops was too quick there! Have cable tied it for short term fix but realise this isn't the solution.

    Hi , following a journey home with some rattling and banging which turned out to be me! The brake disc protective cover on the drivers side front is now loose, having rotted round the bolt holes . Now what's the best fix please?

    I agree! Mine makes me smile everytime I drive it. Even my husband who likes all things reliable and often Japanese says it's the best rangie we've had for handling and driving experience, Love it, however heart skips a beat if it bongs with a fault.... Still nothings perfect.

    What about "final stage resistor" Try a search . It's a big source of battery drain . Easily picked up off eBay. Good luck....

    I bought a l323 td6 twelve months ago and still love it. Yes they do have niggles but the driving experience and huge amount of space are fab. Found the rrs a bit too small. Spend plenty of time looking for a good one, then enjoy it....

    Good to hear youre up and running! Trouble with landrover ownership as you already know is that it's like a disease really. I ran a p38 for six years tried to leave the brand for a break then returned to buy an l322,2002, td6. There's just something about the rangies....

    I've bought the hawkeye , just finding my way round it. You would need the red adaptor in addition to the included lead. I really wanted something that didn't require a laptop. Enery8 on here Has set up a hawkeye user forum.
