Hi , following a journey home with some rattling and banging which turned out to be me! The brake disc protective cover on the drivers side front is now loose, having rotted round the bolt holes .
Now what's the best fix please?

Thanks guys oops was too quick there! Have cable tied it for short term fix but realise this isn't the solution.

I cable tied mine in the short term, but to replace it means taking the whole damn hub apart!!
in the end i took the disc off, got 3 big washers, took the bolts that secure the plate, stuck the washers over the rusted bits then replaced the bolts. not pretty, but you can't see it behind the brake disc, been sound as a pound for over a year now.

That sounds good, was worried when I read on the net about needing to remove the axels to sort this, sounded expensive. Thanks for the help. Sometimes wish I'd got a little more mechanical knowledge. But happy to keep learning!
