Thanks for your replies and sorry she's a 1980 vehicle. So I'm either looking at wire problem or brake light switch. :) I hate electrics I really do. :D

My brake lights have been out for a short while, and I'm wondering where would I find a fuse? The fuses are ok under the bonnet so I assume that there must be an in line fuse, but where? And would I be correct in saying the brake light switch is on the servo? Thanks in advance. :)

Fix it and run it, and if you can cope with the consuption, you'll not regret it. Wish I still had mine. :(:(:(

What ever caused the problem has been sorted by reseting the alarm. :)

Hi everybody my friend has a Jag X type. This morning he noticed the alarm and lights were going off. He has managed to drive the car, and it has been suggested that disconecting the battery for a while might help. Any suggestions thank you in advance. :);)

I have a 6000 mile limit on my Range Rover, never come close to it. Between MoT last year, and this I'd done not much over 2000 miles. :)

Towed a chat a few yards up my street December 2010, as he couldn't move, and was almost hitting a wall. Next day he turned up and gave my O/H a voucher for a pizza of our choice. Wasn't expected nor asked for, but very nice of him regardless.
