Why are you painting the chassis, and what with?

It's a bit scabby. When the weather improves (a lot) I'm going to wire-brush it down and probably paint it with rustoleum - although I'm someone will have a better idea for me!

WHat an awesome looking landie. Don't see many of them around! Love the look of the spare wheel in the back.

The old girl don't look too bad, eh? Got the wolf wheels and pressbrake bumper off-of my old 110 on her now, looking even better. Piccies of our white laning trip going up later!

Interior's come along nicely!

In't it! I've got a Series 1 Wipac interior light to replace that circular monstrosity n'all! Although it looks like clutch issues might take precedence! (What I've started another fred about...)

Fixed up the hand brake today - it's amazingballs what you'll find on this site using the search button! A complete write up on how to effectively adjust a series handbrake. Now I don't have to buy an xbrake.

Oh, and I got a brand new diff off ebay for a hundrid quids - bitofa bargain!

Nowt wrong with the old drum brakes so long as they stay oil free

I thought I'd fixed the brake but it's binding a bit when driving and not grabbing well on hills. Might have to take it apart but an x-brake is feeling likely.

Changed the rear diff oil. Less than a pint of grey sludge came out and three pints of nice fresh EP went in.

I'm just renewing the brakes on a s3 109 and they're just as strong as any disk brakes we've tested :)
Ooh the x brake arrived today complete with some sailsbury goodness ;) had some new boots recently ?

I've got no problem with the drum brakes on the wheels - they're as strong as my old 110's discs - but I struggle to get the transmission brakes to work. Seriously thinking I might get an x-brake for Itchy..!

And yeah, Salisbury goodness! Did you see the video of me getting Scratchy stuck (with your x-brake attached?) In case you didn't it's here. (Even with that dunking I didn't actually get wet - Jack Pyke Countryman boots and Crag-hopper Solar Dry trooos.)

It was a good effort ;) the only bad thing about drums is they seize up with crap quicker and need adjusting but apart from that they're no weaker, I only changed from drums to get 24 spline axles
